Bionic Commando sequel for Nintendo?

October 17, 2007

Oh the sting of alcohol on the open self-inflicted wounds fanmen. Put down the razer and turn down the emo. I know as soon as Bionic Commando was announced to be coming out on Next Gen systems, Nintendo freaks of old started to cheer. Unfortunately for you Wii only owners (like myself), Next Gen does not include you…

This game actually looks pretty effin sweet. Enjoy it PS360 owners (Also coming to PC). Capcom is still representing this time around and taking it seriously. Since the franchise is still alive I would expect this to hit VC sometime soon. Or maybe an Xbox Arcade exclusive? Sick burn.

Did you know:

A book was written in the Worlds of Power series of novels based on Bionic Commando (the American NES version). The Bionic Commando is Jack Markson, who loses an arm when ninjas attack his hotel room and kidnap Super Joe. The Federation replaces his missing limb with a bionic arm that has a grappling hook and a number of other gadgets that are not featured in the game, like a flame thrower and a device that forces prisoners to tell the truth.

Thaaaat’s gotta suck. If the developer support isn’t enough commentary on the state of Nintendo in the traditional games space, i dunno what is.
