So Long Perrin, and Thanks for the Spin

October 12, 2007

Perrin

Sometimes when you follow game news too much, things that have been basically already confirmed and yet not announced reside in that part of your brain that believes it’s just truth. Especially recently, more and more rumors that appear online, have ended up being true after so many people brush them off. So when Nintendo announced it was moving it’s home base, it wasn’t so much rumor as common sense that high level people who had been with the company for a long time would not be joining them on their trip to New York and San Francisco.

So yeah, as we all knew, the Vice President of Marketing for Nintendo, Perrin Kaplin will be leaving after 15 years. Yawwwnn. “I finally will be leaving Nintendo at the end of the year. Until then, I am focused on getting a great transition team in place and handling all of my normal responsibilities as well,” she told Reuters.

15 years is a long time anywhere. She has seen them through lots of up ands downs. Good luck at wherever you land Perrin! (Microsoft?)
