Firaxis give minigames the finger

Story’s a bit old, but what hey, not like we’re on a deadline eh?  Relatively old news that Firaxis is making Civilization games for all the major consoles and DS, but it looks like they’re holding back on the Wii version just to make sure it works just right.  Fall 2008 to be exact.  Says Firaxis programmer Scott lewis:

“Conceptual work has started on the Wii and we are working on a whole new interface for that version of the game. Nothing silly, like you have to wave the remote above your head to lasso your workers, but making it more appropriate to the pointer style.  Currently it feels more like the Mii manipulation screen, where you pick up and move folks around. The style and feel might change, but we’re not going to tack on any silly minigames to make it more ‘Wii-friendly.’

Good to know Scott, good to know.

Hey Albo, haven’t seen you in a long while. No idea how you found our link over there, but glad you like it! We look forward to being your new Nintendo homepage. 🙂

Jesus Rollin, why not offer him a handjob as well? Oh wait, that’s my job. Me love you long time.

It’s included in the package, he’s already been taken care of. *washes hands*

And kudos to Sid Meier or whoever the fuck makes this game, we need more comments like that from Wii devs. God do i miss liking mine…
