Mama you’re coming home

A deal is a deal — but friends, this is a goddamn steal. Mother 3, daughter of Earthbound, whose maiden name is Mother 2, is now available through Play-Asia for the barely-a-price price of $14.90.

Earthbound is a rare beast in that it is one of the few games that i harbor nostalgia for. It was one of those experiences that just struck me in the mid 90s. Thing came in a big ass box, which is what caught my eye, and it was so big because there was an included strategy guide. Pun unintended, but this was the mother of all strat guides — every single character and town and item and enemy was detailed in stunning fashion, even with scratch -n- sniff scents for most of the pictures it had (God bless that decade.). Turned out the game was half decent, too.

So yea, there hasn’t ever been a bad word said about this game. Believe the underhype, it is a pure work of love and 2D pixels. It’s also probably the last you’ll see of the series for a while. And it’s a GBA game, for fuck’s sake. Rep that GBA slot, nukkas. I’ll get it when i learn Kanji. In other words, Bill will play it for me.

Nope. It is pure Kanji, baby! No use trying to use a dictionary, either… too complicated.

But go to the DSFanboy link I mentioned before, they list several walkthroughs that include illustrated ones for key moments in the game so you know what’s going on!

I already ordered my copy of M3 last week…

i loved earthbound, Earthbound zero or mother 1 was a surprisingly deep game for the NES.
