NP poll sheepishly asks if you want demos

Nintendo wishes us “invested” gamers to die a slow death for expecting conventional things like graphics that are worth a system’s salt or an online service fanboys don’t have to make excuses for. But in their latest tween-aimed sweepstakes, Nintendo Power asks its young readers if they would, one far-off day, like to play game demos on their rhombus-esque apparatus that plays cool videogames sometimes. Mhmm, the white one with all the dust on it, yeah.

Well? Would’ja like some game demos, chilluns?

Question F: Would you be willing to shell out for an external HDD attachment that we’ve already denied we’ll ever make so you have a hope in hell of storing said demos?

    ( ) Yes!
    ( ) No!
    (X) You bastards!

Duh! OF COURSE I would like downloadable demos on my Wii!!

But what I’d like to see even more is downloadable demos for my DS via my Wii!

At least my DS seems to have enough internal memory to hold the demos…

exactly. 512mb? That kinda flash was soooooo 2003. Lets make a console with less space than a friggin ipod shuffle. Maybe a thumb drive firmware update is needed. My one gig flash card will have to bleed a few songs. Must we suffer, must wii suffer?

I think the DS has only 4 Megabytes of main memory, which is enough for a demo or an ad… But for a console like Wii, 512 Megabytes is not quite enough! Maybe they will let us download ads for the games… (The Metroid Prime 3 ads are being streamed via Wi-Fi, they are not full downloads).
