Wii in NASCAR?

Wow. This is how big Wii’s become. They’re sponsoring a Nascar car. NASfuckingCAR. The car driven by a certain Greg Biffle. He any good? The only thing I know about NASCAR is from watching “Cars” and “Talladega Nights”. Anyway, consider this your odd Nintendo news bit of the day.

It’s like we said in that friendster post of yours. Nintendo’s paying their marketing dept. some serious overtime.

I’m starting to think we have to devote an entire section just for Nintendo’s marketing strategies.

You can bet that Nintendo paid through the nose for that hot spot on the car.

If it’s for the year, it could cost over $12 million!

A full year nascar sponsorship runs 12 to 25 million.

The wii car was a 4-race deal, not a 36-race full year deal.

Greg Biffle is a good driver having a mediocre year. Roush racing has won championships recently with Kurt Busch and Matt Kenseth.

Knowing nascar by watching cars and talledega nights is like knowing PGA by playing the local mini-put.

NASCAR puts 200,000 fans in the seats regularly and has a massive TV audience. Why would you not advertise there?

Which is why I’m glad you showed up sir. Thanks for the info! I’m not saying Nintendo shouldn’t advertise there, I’m just amused at how far reaching their marketing is.

Yeah that was some nice information. I like things that don’t involve watching cars drive in circles, but different strokes make the world go round.

nascar was started by bootlegers. the only thing “stock” about those car is the body profile, save the spoiler, and the name on the side. think not , just go the dealer and ask for a car with the same engine you saw earnhart used on sunday. dont forget to ask for the same spoiler earnhart used. I cant call it racing if one car can bump another and not get toosed out. the ONLY real racing in the U.S. is drag racing
