What does “Idle” mean. When it is just turned on and doing nothing?

How does power consumption rate when in “standby”? I use quotes because when the Wii is in its standby mode it is really operational and connected using Connect24. Toy go into real standby mode the light needs to be red not orange.

that is with the system on and running not a game but the gui.

While in standby Wii is the lowest, but if you have it connect 24 its 4 times the amount of power of the xbox 360.

This was one of the few bullet points they boasted about during E3 2005 cause they weren’t showing games or the controller yet.

Standby for them means red or orange light, the GUI idle mode doesn’t count.
