Aussie Sony oddly sincere

You and i both know Sony would sooner drop the price of the PS3 than be realistic with their expectations from a console launch, but i suppose global warming affects hell, too.

Michael Ephraim, SCE Regional Director/Sony Australia boss did that and broke Sony protocol when asked if, like the 360 and Wii, the PS3 would break the previous Australian console launch sales record:

It will be a huge launch, [but] the launch is one of a number of highlights on the long trek that we will take the PlayStation 3 on over probably the next 10 years.

We are very excited about the Blu-ray, high-definition evolution that will happen over the next three years. PlayStation 3 will have better and better standing as people understand that..

So even in Australia people are hesitant on nose-diving into PS3land? Get out… At least Sony is setting their expectations realistically low for the initial launch period. Lesson learned, it’s for the best.

PS3 is sucking balls on the video game aspect right now, anyways.
