DSi won’t hit the West until deep into 2009

It’ll be awhile till Reggie gets to do that.
The man has said that Nintendo wants to continue selling DS Lites in the US for now, to capitalize on the general public’s non-awareness of the DSi and make money off them by the boatloads one last holiday. In fact, Reggie said that your local GameStop won’t see them until late 2009. Not mid 2009, not “sometime next year,” but late. I hope this is substantial enough to deter some of the DS fans out there from buying any Lites, but dumber things have happened.
