Nintendo on the run, curiously skips Leipzig

2008 May 27

The Games Convention, presently held in Leipzig, has been Europe’s E3/TGS for a while. Last year, 185,000 people attended and much news and excitement poured out from the event. But since Nintendo’s games now appeal to girls, moms and domesticated animals, this means nothing. They’re skipping it this year, preferring to sell their products on talk shows and teen-rock tours with the Plain White T’s. Or, that’s what they’d have you believe.

See, i’m going to Leipzig in August, and my plan was to corner Nintendo at the show and demand that they prove to me, on the graves of each of their VP’s next-born children, that they have a decent line-up past May 20th. I’m not angry, promise.

I presume they saw my itinerary, and fled.
