Rip ‘em some new ones (or old, redundant ones)

Being the lazy blogger i’ve been lately, i get most of my Wii news from one single source, Joystiq’s Wii blog. They are very typical in that fansite fashion — they get excited for almost every bit of news and try to keep any situations as rosy as possible.
But recently, in their Wii Warm Up column, they asked their readership what they disliked most about Wii. (Disregard the fact that they used a picture of Ryan for their post, there’s no relation.) Actually they said “hate”, so they’re begging for a flogging. And i thought to myself, who can do it better than you all. Btw, a simple link to us would be funny, but let’s be slightly more constructive than that. Have at it.
What I hate most about Wii, besides the lack of a Friends Channel and a hardrive, is that other consoles don’t simply create their own motion-sensor remote to adapt for their own games!
Oh, wait…
Never mind:

Doesnt the PS3 already have similar motion sensing in the SIXAXIS? Does these things have IR pointers? Seems a bit stupid to me.
Anyway, as to what to hate about the Wii. There’s plenty. The no HDD and no friends channel are pretty good ones, but the no HDD wouldn’t really be a big issue if we could just use the SD card like a hard drive. I think it really sucks that you can’t save games straight to the SD card, or that you can’t run VC games from there. It would be so much better if you could. And not having any demos available for VC titles sucks too.
The hell? I’m gone for a week and the asian jokes start flying again?
Gotta get your attention somehow, mate.
